This Godforsaken Week

And how to manage it

It seems the Overwhelm is growing. Before the war, before ICE, before the destruction of services of all kinds including the criminal justice system, it was hard to grasp, for the sheer harshness of it. And now the mass takedown of journalism and media. And Ai!

So how to cope with all this? The answer is there but it must be searched for: independent media. Find your trusted sources and read across them. I will list mine below.

Far more people than I thought possible, The Greater Quiet provides a note of “clarity and sanity”. I thought I was just drawing pictures. But an image that reflects and illuminates a key aspect of a story can matter. It can also give a kind of courage that comes when one feels fortified in the idea that you are not alone. And we most certainly not. Trump will not destroy this country if we stand up . . . and that is what we are doing. This project is here to document that. Your help in adding your name to the paid membership keeps me up at night (in the best possible way!) Thank you, everyone.
