A great man, on many levels, and deserving of all accolades paid him. Decency and respect defined him, as well as his keen intelligence and commitment to the public good. 🌹
I tried to watch everything Mr Moyers did on PBS, because I loved his mind, his words and his smile. His Interviews with Joseph Campbell revealed a history I never understood, until I did. Bill Moyers made America better.
Steve, thank you for honoring a great man and a great communicator. Regarding this current death match between Congress and public broadcasting, I think it’s time to viralize that old video of Mr. Rogers lecturing Congress on the importance of this unique and important news service.
Social media, on too many dodgy platforms, has not only shredded intelligence, it has substituted a potentially deadly amount of fear and terror among us. Fear, while in moderation can motivate action. But the type of fear created and forced upon us by MAGA, the Heritage Foundation and their dark money backers is far worse; despite the important national protest movement, it is paralyzing many of us into complacence and inaction. That said, Steve, thanks so much for your hard work in keeping our eyes, ears and minds open.

Bill Moyers was someone to remember. Fair winds and following seas, Bill. We will miss you.
BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE AND GREAT DRAWING- ALWAYS APPRECIATE YOUR HUMANNESS STEVE...

Yep. The Campbell series in particular. Opened a door into new understandings I was very grateful for.
Agreed. It was the missing link in trying to understand the ubiquity of religious belief and conformity.
Gods bless you, Bill. You will be remembered as an intelligent, decent human being. As you were.

What a different time. Before social media shredded intelligence.

Bill Moyers was the best.
I called both of my senators this morning.
I'm so glad you did this drawing, Steve. Bill was exceptional and genuine, and my husband and I always enjoyed watching and learning from him.
He would just be devastated, along with the rest of us, to see funds being cut to PBS, NPR, and foreign aid.
