Great stuff as always Steve! Wow, if "Revenge is mine saith the Lord" has a even a 1% truth factor, these 6 are headed for a mighty fall, rightfully deserved!! Even Karma does them in!!
My message re: the proposed amendment to the Post Office manual:
"All power to regulate the voting process must remain at the state level, as is clearly stated in the US Constitution (Article I, Section 4). The federal government must continue to practice a hands-off approach to the administration of elections by the states.
"The documented occurrences of voter fraud are statistically nonexistent and, therefore, render any argument in favor of actions intended to prevent such occurrences as disingenuous and wholly motivated by partisan attempts to limit the free exercise of the right to vote."
Until July 2, we can comment on the Ballot Mail for Federal Elections amendment through the Federal Register and through the non-partisan League of Women Voters. This is a chance to defend the vote by mail option which so many of us rely on.
"Haitian women’s social roles are often understood through the concept of poto mitan, Haitian Creole for “central pole.” Women are the central pillars of family and community life.
Many have continued to support children, parents and relatives in Haiti while working, parenting, paying bills and contributing to the local economies in their Florida communities.
The Supreme Court ruling intensifies the pressure behind these roles. Some women may now face painful decisions about their U.S.-born children: Should they take them to Haiti, where they may encounter safety concerns, disrupted schooling and an unfamiliar environment? Or should the children remain in the United States, separated from their parents?
For many Haitian mothers, children’s well-being is at the center of such decisions."
Two of the children of Justice Barrett she adopted — from Haiti. Wonder how she explains this ruling to them.
Sotomayor's words combined with your artistic gifts made me cry. Thank you Steve.
Yes, emotional times Laura!
Thank you dear Laura.
