What bothers me the most, being an out of towner, is that America - the soon to be former leader of the free world - emboldens the rest of the right wing West to do likewise. Putin and the rest of the ever growing BRICS alliance would like nothing more than the West tearing itself apart and down. It will save them doing it.

What impact, if any, will Lindsey Graham's threat to to US allies who support the ICC's warrant against Netanyahu and Gallant? Is this the MAGAt idol's directive? Are other Senators who unflinchingly support Israel suggesting the same? https://www.newsweek.com/lindsey-graham-warns-us-allies-over-netanyahu-warrant-1990635 Even my Canadian family and friends are carefully watching their country move to the right. Graham appears to be working hard to ensure that the tearing apart occurs. Being a humanitarian, I guess, is out. War crimes are now like all other lawlessness, quite in it seems.

Most, if not all, US allies aren't quite as stupid as the 🍊💩 and his human caterpillar of sycophants. They know from experience that its americans who ultimately pay the cost of trumps failed trade wars

US News and World Report noted that 36% of eligible voters, over 89 million, didn't bother to cast a ballot in this election.

If our nation founders and slips beneath the waves it is "We the People" who sink our ship of state.

Thanks, Steve. I've never watched Scarborough and Brzezinski - I'm not much of a TV watcher, especially in the morning, preferring reading news with quiet as a background. As I read about their actions, the pandering was beyond "icky" - they clearly walked right into the web. It's sadly amusing: one need only watch what MAGA does to know one action that appears to favor does not equal being favorited from the harm threatened. Maybe they just wanted to be first to be prosecuted for believed wrongs.

I can’t understand how Mika stomached going there into the lion’s den. I mean was she sedated?

Am I the only one who noticed that most voters in the U.S. know nothing about civics? I think that's our basic downfall because democracy requires involved, educated citizens. More than the brosphere, our problem is our poor education system.

The last time I watched cable TV was January 6, after a nearly 4 year gap. So I didn’t see Mika as she reminisced about all the famous people her parents hosted, or as she told the adorable story of spilling caviar on the Chinese premier at her parents’ country home in Virginia. Someone forwarded it to me. Right now I have just about had it with Washington insiders and their neediness. They will make their peace with DT, and their occasional eruptions of outrage will be good for business.

Politically naive and not privy to their conversation, but perhaps this pilloried couple are simply smarter than the rest, took advantage of their position and became the first to interview the incoming President. Is anyone aware of the actual conversation or is this, to put it politely, simple conjecture?

If nothing else Joe & Mika are now household names.

No interview. No news gathered. Just a wee grovel.

It is certainly clear and annoying that in almost all the commentary on the Substack platform, they were assumed to be bowing, scraping and kissing his ring or whatever, but aside from the three of them does anyone actually know what went on?

A wee grovel laddie?

Lookin up someone's kilt?
